A New Building Component Launches Aimed to Reduce Build Time

84 Lumber, a building materials supplier, introduced their new building component, 84 Vertical. This service could become a new norm in the building and lumber industry. The process entails that the lumber will be shipped with pre-labeled, pre-cut, and ready for assembly.

This building component is in hopes to reduce the amount of wood used to build the average home, and lower job site disposal expenses. Furthermore they have goals that this process will allow for faster assembly, producing a safer build with fewer jobsite injuries. 84 Vertical launched in Denver, Colorado and recently expanded to markets in Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, Alabama and Indianapolis.

“We’re ‘exactimating,’ not estimating,” said Jim Abbott, EWP Vice President at 84 Lumber. “We are excited to launch 84 Vertical, and we know our customers are ready for this program. The goal is to better serve our customers and help them build more efficiently and accurately.”
