Metabo HPT introduces cordless pneumatic nailers

by

Metabo HPT, a KOKI Group company, today introduced Cordless Pneumatics, a first-of-its-kind nailer category for North America, designed to deliver pneumatic speed in a cordless platform. Built for professional crews, Metabo HPT Cordless Pneumatic Nailers combine the speed, power and drive consistency Pros expect from pneumatic fastening and eliminates the hoses and compressors that have traditionally limited productivity on the jobsite.

Today’s contractors face tighter schedules, persistent labor shortages and the need to do more with fewer resources. As setup time, mobility, and consistency become increasingly important measures of jobsite performance, crews need tools that improve workflow without introducing new compromises.

“Pros have been telling us for years what they want: pneumatic performance without the hose and compressor,” said Joe Leffler, president of Metabo HPT North America. “Cordless Pneumatics is a category designed to give Pros a true pneumatic alternative, one that helps them move faster and work more freely without sacrificing the performance they’ve relied on for decades.”

Cordless Pneumatic Nailers feature Air Spring Drive System Plus™, which stores and releases compressed air within the tool itself to deliver consistent driving force along with the speed and response associated with pneumatic fastening, in a fully cordless platform with no external compressor or hose.

The performance advantage is especially clear in high-volume framing applications such as sub-floor and wall sheathing, where crews need a nailer that can keep pace with pneumatic tools. Cordless Pneumatic models deliver firing speeds of up to six nails per second, helping crews move quickly through repetitive fastening work.

By reducing setup and breakdown time, crews can recover meaningful time across the workday. Even conservative estimates suggest crews may spend as much as 45 minutes per day on compressor setup, hose management and teardown, roughly 150 hours per year for every framer on the job – almost four weeks of work. Removing that equipment burden puts more of the day into productive work and less into jobsite logistics.

Cordless Pneumatic Nailers deliver up to 1,170 nails per charge on 18V Metabo HPT MultiVolt 10.0Ah T-PWR Tabless batteries, giving crews the runtime to work through demanding fastening applications without stopping to swap packs. Select nailer models also accept interchangeable magazines.

Cordless Pneumatics also feature easy on-site serviceability so Pros can complete routine maintenance in as little as 10 minutes instead of waiting on service center turnaround.

“Making cordless nailers match pneumatic performance required solving two engineering problems at once: matching pneumatic driving power and matching pneumatic firing speed,” said Bernd Fleischmann, Chief Technology Officer for KOKI Group. “Air Spring Drive System Plus combines the proven air spring architecture that has powered our cordless nailers from the start with a new Enhanced Lift Mechanism that doubles shot frequency over the previous generation. That is what makes true cordless pneumatic performance possible.”

Metabo HPT brings decades of pneumatic nailing expertise, power tool innovation and professional user insight to the Cordless Pneumatics category. The company has built its reputation by designing nailers and jobsite tools around the way Pros work, from its pneumatic fastening legacy to its cordless technology development. Metabo HPT has been recognized as the Pro Preferred Brand for pneumatic nailers for 12 consecutive years. That heritage and jobsite understanding helped make cordless pneumatic performance possible.
